I received the best birthday gift ever as I spent this special day with my old friend, Ron.
It was magical and wonderful. It was wonderful in that he had forgiven me, as I was trying to forgive myself.
That behind us, I’m feeling inspired in every way. Truly, the old life has passed into ashes, as I now evolve into the future. This magical future includes my old friend, Ron, from 30 years ago. Ron and I successfully profited from a little idea called “Demo Cusomizerz.” From 1994 to 1997, we hosted voice-over clients for $250 per demo reel on a cassette, mixed down in Ron’s little Mystical Innersight Studio. When you walked in you felt like you were walking into a fortune teller or magician.
Ron’s hand-made logo design was the first thing you saw. And we would get down to business. I would voice coach the new talent and Ron would engineer the session as we added News sound for news broadcasts, sound effects for any voice situation. It was a rather good idea until ARN radio, where we produced 2 hour radio shows on the weekends with Jennifer Bruschi, Now Jennifer Benesche. It wasn’t until Tony, the owner’s son, stopped us from poaching their new talent.
30 years later, I don’t blame them. I miss Gordon Kim, who brought us the talent and referred us heavily. We had friends in all the right places.
Now we are doing AI/Music and reestablishing our relationship while we launch am AI/Music “Agency” if you will.
Most depends on how well I handle Fiverr, versus losing my account as on Upwork.
