Remembering the Fallen on this Veterans Day - 11.11.2k9
My thoughts on the war in Afghanistan are rather clear: "Dalton Fury" is the pseudonym of a former Army major who led the secret Delta Force mission to kill Osama bin Laden nine weeks after 9/11. During the raid and only a few hundred yards away from their quarry, the mission was scrubbed and "outsourced" to the Afghans (the ones who ran the corrupt election a few weeks ago). This was as close as America has come to avenging the premeditated murder of it's U.S.citizens in cold blood on 911. This was as close as George W. Bush had ever come to doing something right.
See the 60 Minutes segment - An Elite Officer Recalls the Hunt for Bin Laden

In March of 2003, 911 became a battle cry for the Bush Family's personal vendetta against Saddam Hussien, the rape of Iraq and the privatizing of Iraqi oil for Exxon-Mobile, Shell Oil & BP, Haliburton, Chervon, etc. U.S. deaths in Iraq are at 4,680 and Bin Laden still breaths the same air as we do. Never has a single administration compiled so many failures in so little time and at such an enourmous human toll. Total U.S. deaths in Afganistan are at 1,515. Iraqi civilian deaths are well over 655,000. Afgani civilian deaths are at 2,118 and climbing. Adding in Bush's failure to protect us on 911, 2,819 deaths, gives us a grand total of 766,320 lives that have been erased due to the insurmountable failures of George Dubya Bush, massive greed of BIG OIL and fanatical conservatives. And lets not forget the destruction of the U.S. & world economies, but who's counting?

The following letter came to me in the form of a chain letter from my friend Ken in Nova Scotia, Canada. Although a friend of ten years, I despise chain letters since I do not believe in luck and I discourage people from succumbing to bad habits. However this chain letter got to me and I had to share it with you guys.

THE FINAL INSPECTION
The soldier stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.
'Step forward now, you soldier,
How shall I deal with you ?
Have you always turned the other cheek ?
To My Church have you been true?'
The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
'No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills got just too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
'Step forward now, you soldier,
You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell.'
