Speaking of Tranquility: I have a backyard here I use sometimes to meditate, write, so peaceful and serene. The sounds of nature engulf my consciousness, cleanse me of stress...and the hypnotic mating calls of the blue jays in the trees outside the window. And then the chirping gets louder, and hotter and heavier and nastier...until Wow! You can’t even meditate in your own back your own backyard without somebody fuckin’ around!
ANOTHER Distraction Story: Current Secretary Timmy Geitner gets an ASS-GRILLING from congress even though he WASN”T even the guy who STARTED the hated TARP program. Remember Henry Paulson and ‘lil Georgie Dubya? The guy who made HUNDREDS of millions at Sachs Goldman? And then handed about 15 billion to his buddies at wall street AND FAILED Sachs Goldman & AIG. No conflict there. No questions, huh? Seem the GOP has FINALLY found its Hillary Clinton. Ahh! What’s government without scapegoats? Even if the guy who did it isn’t even mentioned?
Speaking of Tax Cheats, we have to be fair and include NEWT Gingrich, who in 1999, after getting the boot from House Majorty lead for challenging Clinton in the mid-terms, was caught cheating on his income taxes. He stated his ACCOUNTANT had prepared the tax return and it was all his fault. Guess the accountant signed his name to it, as well. But that never came up.
Other tax cheats include, Phil “Whiney Americans” Graham Craker Crust. about 7 years ago and of course every-Republican who has been fighting taxes since Reagan began the American decline in his tax-cuts of 1984. Amazing how the Bible states, “let he who is without sin, cast the first boulder.” Oh wait. We only PREACH Christianity. We don’t PRACTICE it. Sorry.
Oh yes, AIG’s “Toxic Debt” is now YOUR TOXIC DEBT America! The new catch phrase “Legacy Debt” Their latest PR attempt to make your new purchases of worthless mortgages (from now homeless families) that nobody will invest in, more palatable to you and I, the taxpayer. As the sole owners about 95% of these toxic assets, you have no shareholder rights, no votes, no stock, no shares, only the burden of years of failed mismanagement and crooked policies. Why? Because you’re $1.2 TRILLION of bailout money has purchased for AIG, an ARMY of lobbyists, high Powered attorneys and lawmakers to protect them...from us (99% of America) and our laws. That’s why they are still there. They are indeed, too big and should be broken up like Reagon did to AT&T in the 80’s!
