As an Australian I find the Electoral (College)? thing confusing. Is it correct that the electoal votes can be given to someone else instead of the winner of the popular poll?
We changed Government just last weekend. "Honest" John Howard was kicked out of office and lost his seat too! Only happened once before. Sitting P.M. losing his seat.
By the by he was called "Honest" John by journalists 20 odd years ago when he was caught out in a lie or 60. then in the end of the 90's some how the honest tag stuck but not that he got it for lying. Voters are dumb everywhere.
